Zaidi said he thought that Bart was an every day catcher, but Bart has never demonstrated that he could be such a player. Bart was hitting at or lower than .155 when the Giants decided to send him back to Sacramento.
I wonder about the development coaches they have in the farm system.
Other teams are turning low picks into stars and the Giants can't even
make a high pick a decent MLB player.
After all the great prospects who were in the farm system in the 2000s,
they seem to have lost that ability.

They have some pretty good coaching, but it still remains the responsibility of the hitter
to translate that into a good batting average. They finally caught fire this past week,
which may bode well in the 2nd half.
They remain a very old, slow team with some bad defense. The starters seem to be
doing okay, but that bullpen will be the death of them.
Bart, keeps trying, but he's just not hitting for a good average. How long can a team
keep a catcher who can't hit? He did better this past week, but he's got major holes
in his swing.
I don't know, these top prospects need to produce or else all of it is
for nought.
Padres and Mariners are loaded with prospects and now may go in on
trading them for Soto.
These are smaller markets but Giants aren't even seen on their level.
Dodgers, who've been drafting lower than the GIants the past 10 years,
are considered to have a better farm system now.
We don't know if Luciano or Bart or others will even become All-Stars.
Giants will probably contend for the WC all season. Maybe they can get
hot in the playoffs again like the Braves did last season.
Otherwise, it's hard to expect much from them.
