He finalist a deal with the Minnesota Twins. Guess the Mets got cold feet, too. Original Giants deal? 13 years $350 million.Mets, 12 years, $350'million. Twins? 10 years $270 million (medical review first of course).

Heard only $200 million and 6 years are guaranteed.

That's higher per year average than either the Giants or Mets deals.

Mets only offered like $157 guaranteed.

Exactly! No matter which way the negotiation went, the Giants poisoned their chances of signing him. Instead another catcher, another Tommy John and many of the niche players that shouldn't be playing.
