They sign a SS to a $280 million deal after giving big money to Tatis.
Maybe that drug suspension is a bigger deal than they're letting on.

Giants in a bigger market, much bigger revenues.

They've never given a free agent contract over $100 million. In fact
the most is $60 million.

They bid for Judge, supposedly $360 million, the same as the Yankees.
But no way Judge was leaving the Yankees for the same money.

Are they going to try to sign anyone else? Or Zaidi is going to have to
keep dumpster diving?

They've been upstaged by everybody. Not only that, Rodon is still out there. So what does Zaidi do, signs another pitcher to another two-year contract with another option after the first year ala Rodon.
What a non-surprise to find out that Haniger (outfielder) only played 57 games last year due to an ankle injury.
