Why aren't the Giants playing Bart?

No minor leagues so he's just sitting around?

Giants aren't going anywhere this season so they might as well see what
these prospects are about.

He can't be worse than what they have, with Posey not playing.

Giants aren't making money at the gate but OTOH, I don't think they're
paying full contracts so that means they're one year closer to dumping
the salaries of Belt, Crawford, Longoria and Cueto.

Or maybe trade one or more of them to contenders but the trade deadline
is end of this month.

We will see what Farhan makes of this opportunity.

Giants need to let Crawford, Belt, Pence, Sandoval, Sarmardijia go. This is a perfect season to see what the youngsters can do.

Well they're letting some play like Duggar, who isn't doing too well.

The ones who can hit a bit are Yaz, Slater and Solano, all Farhan
acquisitions.

Sad truth may be that the farm system was in worse shape than people feared.

I've always wonder about Dugger. He's talented according to his AAA
play, but he seems to lose it when he comes up to San Francisco. I
thinkk he hit .182 this season. That's not an average that's going to
get him an invite to spring training 2021.

I was actually planning on going to Arizona to watch the team for a
couple of weeks, until the pandemic him.

Well Bart was bad during the season.

Unfortunately with the pandemic, there might not even be a winter
instructional league.

Is he going to be able to work on his hitting with a private coach or
something?

At the very least, they don't want him accumulating veteran time
towards the end of his rookie deal. I wondered about it too,
especially when both catchers are lousy hitters and worse catchers.
